Jozel Salvacion Bio

Jozel is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at QuantumScape Battery Inc. in San Jose, where he works as a project manager and characterization lead for next-generation all-solid-state battery technology. Since joining QuantumScape in 2019 as an R&D Technician, he has progressed through several roles, building experience across physical, chemical, and electrochemical characterization techniques used to evaluate solid-state battery materials and inform process and design decisions. 

At SJSU, Jozel’s graduate research focused on coating TiO 2 (B) nanorod anodes to mitigate catalytic water splitting behavior in aqueous-based batteries. The work was supported by the Student Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (RSCA) program. The project poster was presented at the university’s annual research symposium and later published in Frontiers in Chemistry.

He is glad to connect with fellow alumni interested in battery technology, materials characterization, or project management in R&D.
