It is with great excitement that I announce the appointment of Evita Bryden as the Executive Director for Spartan East Side Promise (SESP 2.0), effective April 1, 2026. This addition to our SJSU community is sponsored by generous external support and we appreciate the partnerships we are developing to strengthen the pipeline of students from the East Side of San José to SJSU and beyond! 

I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the community and campus leaders and partners who participated in the selection process. Your time, insight, and feedback were instrumental in identifying the right candidate to foster the deep collaboration that is paramount to achieving our collective impact vision.

Evita brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership and a proven track record of managing complex, mission-driven programs. In the coming months, Evita will be connecting with each of you as she deepens her familiarity with our shared goals.
